To in partnership with the Marketing Manager Domestic and senior stakeholders to develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of consumer market segment, the market value chain and the competitors that operate in these markets. Translate and communicate segment and consumer insights to internal stakeholders, materialising into a differentiated and profitable offer portfolio.
Create and execute customer centric marketing tactics supporting the delivery of the industry business strategy. Drive communication needs and requirements accordingly. Establish processes and frameworks for the domestic market, applications and products knowledge, communicated to internal and external customers. Drive competitive intelligence.
Work with the Marketing Manager Domestic to position Certas Energy as the leading service provider in the domestic heating oil market. Ensuring a world class customer experience and fully analysed and maximised customer journey
To liaise with the relevant senior management to gain additional customer insight and agree activity that delivers against their business objectives and targets for the year. The job holder will therefore be the owner of all marketing targets related to customer acquisition, retention, gross margin and product sales.
To work closely with the relevant Heads of Sales/Sector to agree the contribution that marketing activity can deliver to their annual business plans. This will include customer acquisition, retention and product sales targets, all of which ultimately will result in margin generation for the business
Using their customer insight and, armed with the relevant priorities agreed with the Heads of Sales/Sector, to agree with the Channel Marketing Manager the most effective marketing activity to achieve each objective.
To develop strategies and ideas that achieve the business objectives for the sector, in particular to improve the customer experience for each sector by influencing individuals throughout the business.
To help support the delivery of the annual Domestic Marketing Plan
To effectively brief the relevant sales teams on key marketing activity, to ensure that they are fully supported from a Sales perspective. To then challenge the Sales teams on a regular basis to ensure continued focus on these activities, using performance data provided by the Customer Insight team.
Work closely with the wider Marketing team to evaluate, review and improve the effectiveness of marketing activities
To undertake any other activities as requested by the Marketing Director

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a marketing or business related subject
Experience in a marketing function in a fast paced, consumer orientated environment
Evidence of having developed effective customer insight and translated this into successful customer propositions and initiatives
Evidence of having delivered effective marketing strategies and delivering most elements of the marketing mix, in particular direct marketing, telemarketing, advertising and on-line communications
Strong project management skills
Ability to work without direct supervision and to take responsibility for the delivery of key projects
Experience of working in B2B and B2C environments, preferably with a utilities background
